Suspending Blog

Since the Midterm elections are over I am suspending my blog for now. I will decide in the Future if I will blog about 2020 when the time comes. Thank you for reading my posts.

House Results

The Democrats took the House of Representatives in the 2018 Midterm elections. I have waited because there still is an undecided race but it looks like it will not be decided anytime soon so I will post the current results. The Democrats have won 435 seats while the Republicans won 199 seats with 1 still undecided. The Democrats have picked up 42 seats and the Republicans lost 36 seats. That is because there were 7 vacant seats during the election and 1 undecided seat currently. There are currently 236 Republicans 197 Democrats and 2 vacant seats in the Lame Duck congress. The vacancies will most likely not be filled so the Democrats will pick up 38 seats and the Republicans will lose 37 seats when the New Congress convenes on January 3rd. The new house will be the final judge of the new election after all state government and federal court remedies are used. They can either seat a winner, order a recount, or order a new election.
